Within the Export Marketing Direction, you work remotly with the Travel Retail Marketing Manager for orchestration and follow-up of Chanel F&B activities in Travel Retail. The global objective is to bring operational support for the House development in Middle Eastern Airports while ensuring link and report to Parisian teams.


Your mission will articulate around following activities: POS excellence, Brand Development & being an Internal Ambassador of TR.



Merchandising : 

- Aligned with the merchandising team, adapt global guidelines for local implementation.​

​- Ensure the local implementation of visuals and PLV in due time (coordination with internal and external partners).​

- Organize & run field trainings to team leaders. & BA’s.

- Develop a strong and reliable sub-contractor network to update visuals and trade actions.​

- Collect PLV needs and animate forecast meetings.​


Maintenance :

- Collect maintenance needs (with the help of team leaders) and coordinate corrective actions with the local design team.

- Report regularly to your manager on fixings and status of repairs



Projects coordination: ​

- Aligned with the Marketing Manager, create and implement a development strategy with temporary and permanent brand operations.​

- Coordinate with Paris and local team the implementation of new CHANEL point of sales. ​

​- Consolidate constructive feedbacks and implement short-, mid- and long-term actions in a continuous improvement mindset.


Trade actions:

- Support the Marketing Manager to create and develop 360 brand activations within airports​

- Implement ​temporary brand operations to animate product launches and top lines.​

- Consolidate qualitative and quantitative brand operations feedback.



- Coordinated with the Marketing Manager, develop a test and learn clienteling program with top partners.

- Investigate on digital CRM opportunities within Travel Retail environment on the region and develop adapted on-line actions



Local Market: Build bridges and synergies with Middle-East affiliate, stimulating the development of common actions projects.​

Travel Retail: Watch and analyze competition in Middle-East in order to strenghten our brand legacy in UAE MKT.

Job Description :

Purpose of the Role

  • Senior Marketing Manager - Emerging Market will own the development and execution of all the TTL programs for portfolio of brands in all international geographies and channels including Retail, On-trade and Duty Free ensuring the plan to be in line with overall brand strategy.

  • This role is accountable to create and deliver commercial programs with executional selling materials on time and in full, to support in achieving NSV & Volume growth targets.


Key Deliverables

  • The role will be leading customer and brand needs, understanding to deliver impactful consumer engagements through retail visibility and activation.

  • Plan and implement AOP for consumer activations programs with all the elements, costing and time period.

  • Regular Budget review in terms of planned spends and spends efficacy. Ensuring smooth & on-time customer payment process.

  • Develop all the key elements for retail and on-trade programs within Diageo Marketing Code including BTL creative, POS tools, In-Store displays, activation toolkits

  • Lead and develop relationship with various external event/activations/GWP/visibility vendors for superior execution.  

  • Liaise with internal Brand and customer marketing teams for key initiatives development and executions in markets.

  • Brand Building through innovative activation and consumer engagement program, plan and execute all the activation programs.

  • Ensuring relationship management in key channels of Duty Free & On-trade wherein customer marketing plays an important role.

  • Responsible for developing the strategy, concepts, product assortment and leading go to market launch elements for NARS Travel Retail, Asia Exclusive Programs (Chinese Valentin’s Day, 5.20 etc), & Asia Exclusive Complexion launches

Main Tasks

1. Trade Marketing:

  • Understand HQ direction and work with regional marketing team to adapt the best fit to all trade marketing, pricing, promotion, trade plans, events to support the team in developing 360 Trade marketing strategies and plans for top line business growth.

  • In charge of marketing tools updates and efficiently communicate to the rest of the teams, on a regular basis.

  • Collaboration closely with regional marketing team with timely changes on the HQ planning and feedback or Market needs to reflect the most efficiently marketing plans and adapt to market in a proper way.

  • PR/Event Management: in charge of organizing PR and VIP Events with the deployment from regional market and connect partially with LM market to better support regional information collection and implementation of the projects.

  • Responsible for the reporting of the marketing activities with results and insights to support future marketing activities and innovations.

  • Responsible for implementation of brand retail marketing calendars and deliver local promotional programs within the retail channels and work with key retailers on key trade marketing activities with brand DNA and guidelines.


2. Project Management:

  • Work with regional marketing team in development of creative and esthetics presentations to be presented internally and externally, own marketing presentation to client regional offices and store level engagement.

  • Leads the commercial/ marketing team in the implementation of podiums in store with closely work with retail, merchant & training team.

  • Leads and supports all the marketing related activities (POP UP, PR, events, CRM, BC seminar, retailer engagement, etc) with strong project management skill.


3. CRM Strategy deployment:

  • Explore CRM Opportunities with key retailers and lead the design of Guerlain Ultimate CRM journey

  • Engage and work with retailers on customer loyalty program and related initiatives internal & external and ensure the Guerlain DNA can be maximize.

  • Involved with global CRM projects with market expertise and provide insights/recommendations to HQ/regional team and work together with LM CRM team to see the synergy opportunities on CRM part.


4. Competitive Analysis:

  • Monthly report for trade, PR, events, CRM and provide the key best practice and recommend the future Guerlain activities

  • Monthly Analysis for new launches of products pros& cons, comparison versus competition together with retail & training team


5. Product Marketing:

  • Store check and eyes on the new launch of the competitors on both for single & sets, focus on product efficiency, pricing & promotion, launch activities with events drive, etc and work with Retail & Training team to forecast the success feasibility of the products comparing with Guerlain products

  • Closely work with Regional marketing team to understand other markets products performance and comparison to understand consumer behaviour and provide recommendation to Area Director on how to defense the competitors’ new launches.


6. Budget Management:

  • Responsible for marketing budget (PR, event, CRM, etc) to ensure we can maximize the allocated budget with best ROI activities and drive the marketing exposure across both airports & downtown stores

  • Provide recommendation to meet & beat market competition if we see innovations & creativities and leads the proposal to ask for market defense plan both to Regional & HQ

  • Ensure the right budget management process with right internal audit and within budget for profit delivery.

About the role:

The role will translate the Marketing strategy to the particular needs of the US based cruise lines, ensuring that all initiatives are designed, implemented, and measured in accordance with it – bearing in mind the demographic needs, product assortment, and budget considerations for each cruise line.  There will be responsibility for marketing plans and associated budgets for the key US cruise lines, and for the delivery, measurement, and optimization of all initiatives.

You will provide leadership and clarity to the US team (Marketing Exec and a Digital Content Creator), and interface with the UK-based Marketing function.  You will be the key contact for Harding+ Buyers, Merchandisers, and Ops relating to the US cruise lines for all marketing support, and for the cruise line Onboard Revenue teams themselves.
