General Manager Retail/Malls

Current responsibilities

• Responsible for the P&L, Cost Reduction, Marketing and Operational performance of the malls

• Overseeing and Heading portfolio of multiple community malls

• Involved in new assets from planning, leasing, marketing to expanding operating malls

• Demonstrate effective leadership to maintain occupancy, enhance footfall and drive sales

• Maintain tenant occupancy of all malls and fill up any vacancies

• Create safe well-maintained environment and assure 100% with Mystery Shopper

• Build relationships and collaboration with business partners, local schools, community and local authorities

• Market intelligence and thorough knowledge of competition, market share along with area demographics

• Introduce digital transformation and new ways of doing things, automate processes via tenant portal

• Contingency planning and overcoming challenges economical and crisis management

• Member of the Leasing committee - to review concepts, commercials and retail mix

• Enforce lease obligations and deal with any queries, requests or disputes

• Managing and tendering contracts (support business and procurement)

• Execute new and renewals leases to meet and exceed objectives

• Findings innovative ideas and opportunities related and not limited to - increase revenue, marketing initiatives to enhance footfall, customer spend and increase customer dwell time

• Prepare monthly business review report and annual budget

• Strong team motivation, culture with an ownership frame of mind, working efficiently to achieve results • Introducing going green and energy efficiency such as recycling and adding solar panels to the malls

• Introduce Loyalty programme for our community and gift cards

• Tenant and customer satisfaction is key to our success

• Increasing tenant sales psf

• Mystery shopper achievement and scores to the highest levels at all times • Business 3 year forecast and re-pricing of budget where required to sustain business

• Creating opportunities to generate revenue and reduce overheads
