Career Achievements


• As the first IFEC Manager for Etihad Airways, I set up the IFE department for the airline. During my tenure, I established the airline's IFE and Connectivity strategy, implemented a unique brand identity, and launched one of the first KU-Band connectivity solutions, followed by several other connectivity solutions as technology advanced. I successfully rolled out several state-of-the-art IFE systems across a diverse fleet of 60+ aircraft, culminating in the award-winning A380 programme where we pushed the boundaries of cabin interior design and services to deliver a unique and luxurious passenger offering.


• Successful turnaround of programming strategy, service delivery and customer relationship for a major

Middle East client (Qatar Airways) by restructuring the client account team and establishing a trusted

relationship with the airline's senior leadership team. Overhauled the programming strategy and designed and implemented a unique IFE brand identity, resulting in the airline moving from 8th to 2nd position in the global Skytrax ratings.


• Following the COVID-19 crisis, to respond to falling airline inflight entertainment budgets, I was

responsible for implementing a critical customer product transformation programme by leading the

regional go-to-market team. This was a step-change for the industry, resulting in the successful conversion of 100% of clients in the region within 6 months. This resulted in significant cost savings for our clients whilst maximising profitability.

April 2022 to Present


Contracted by Hans Airways for defining the inflight entertainment and connectivity products and services for the start-up of the airline. Responsibilities include vendor selection, development, and installation of IFE hardware; modification programmes for current IFEC systems; content strategy.


Key Achievements


• Negotiated and finalised contract with Moment for retrofit of the airline’s Airbus A330 aircraft with their

Flymingo wireless IFE streaming solution.


• Development of system and portal to align with brand proposition


• Developed content strategy, appointed Content Service Provider and negotiated content budget. Content strategy also included bespoke content (e.g., partnership with Amritsar Tourism Authority for destination videos; partnership with Kohinoor FM for creation of audio channels catering to the Sikh community).


Vice President Client Services – Europe and Africa

August 2013 to February 2022


A senior executive for client account management and sales for media and content for all airline clients in Europe and Africa. Responsible for all client account management activities (including relationship building and delivery of contracted services), current client revenue growth, new client sales and profitability of all accounts in the region. Senior Manager: Inflight Entertainment

Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi

August 2005 to July 2013


Recruited by Etihad Airways in 2005 to set up the IFE department as the start-up airline's first IFE Manager. I developed the airline's IFEC strategy, which required extensive research into global in-flight entertainment and connectivity trends and innovations, resulting in establishing a leading IFEC product and brand identity to support Etihad Airways' corporate brand identity. During my tenure, I managed the introduction of the airline's first AVOD-fitted aircraft and subsequent roll-out of over 60 aircraft over 7 years, across the diverse fleet and four IFE platforms (Thales i4000; Thales i4000+; Thales i5000; Panasonic eX2). This included the development of the GUI (Graphic User Interface), applications, games and content.


Key Achievements


• Launched a new IFE brand (E-Box) which involved the development of a new GUI (Graphic User Interface)


and upgraded content across all platforms.


• Launched revised content strategy in January 2012 which included a significant increase in IFE content,


including cross-promotional idents and revised content categories.


• Developed airline's Airbus A380, Boeing 787 and new Airbus A320 fleet's IFE solutions, which includes


system and applications development, a new GUI programme and several unique/bespoke innovations.


• Launched several onboard connectivity solutions, including Live TV across a diverse fleet.


• Prepared and managed the IFE department's budget and secured the best prices to deliver a high-end IFE programme within budget.
