About the Role
We are currently looking for a motivated Sales Executive to join our team!
Purpose of Role
To work closely with and under the guidance of the Sales Manager to manage and develop existing business in the assigned markets and maximise sales potential through appointed distributors and, direct retailers. To assist in promoting the Company’s portfolio of brands, as required.
To manage existing business for the company in assigned markets including:-
Developing and executing sales and marketing strategies; preparing and monitoring performance against budgets; reviewing and preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly reports; managing individual promotional budgets; undertaking credit control functions and obtaining overdue payments.
To expand existing business in the assigned markets, recognising market opportunities and constraints.
To identify and evaluate new business opportunities for the Company.
To communicate the Company’s goals and objectives to distributors and retailers.
To act in the role of the Company’s brand ambassador in assigned markets.
To undertake public relations activities and field sales visits with distributors.
To attend key events, consumer and customer focused trade shows in the territory, working with distributors through tutored master classes.
To maintain comprehensive and up-to-date market, commercial and customer records.
To work with internal stakeholders on stock forecasting for all clients.
To assist in specific project work regarding new product development and department procedural issues.
To liaise with Marketing Department on competitor information, new product developments and promotions.
To manage and own your professional development to achieve your work objectives and your career and personal goals.
Scope of Role
The GTR Sales Executive will report to the GTR Sales Manager on the day-to-day operation of the assigned markets. They will be mentored to make and have autonomy on commercial decisions regarding sales price and promotional support packages offered to customers/potential customers.
This role requires travel throughout the territory and the job holder will be required to stay away from home on a regular basis.
The job holder will be required to attend trade shows and other promotional activities on behalf of the Company, as required.
The job holder will be required to work additional hours as necessitated by the needs of the business.
Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Good organisational skills.
Commercially astute, numerate, and literate.
Good influencing skills.
Full clean driving license.
Degree, preferably in a business-related topic.
HND/HNC or equivalent would also be considered.
Relative experience working in a sales or brand marketing environment, preferably with direct retailers.
