Pricing analyst - Airline catering (1412131)

An exciting opportunity to be involved in a high value, complex contract renewal process.

Working with a small multi-functional team and reporting to the Financial Controller NZ, you will need to obtain a thorough understanding of our business as well as the specifics and drivers of this particular contract. This knowledge as well as historic financial performance data will form the basis of a flexible financial model which can then be run to produce various forecasts of possible outcomes.

You will be responsible for analysing the food, labour, overhead and other costs for current catering services at various locations.  From this data set, and adding various parameters and different pricing conventions, you will be developing a range of scenarios for consideration by the wider tender team.  This data will form the basis of our tender to our potential client.

To succeed in this position, you will have strong financial modelling and analytical skills, be able to think laterally and present your thinking coherently and in a collaborative manner. This will require strong teamworking, communication, and presentation skills that compliment your technical skills in financial data analysis.

A suitable applicant will have demonstrated their ability to undertake detailed work within very tight deadlines and had some work experience in a finance or costing role. They will have had at least five years’ experience in contract costing and pricing for work valued in tens of millions of dollars annually.  A tertiary qualification in commerce or economics is preferred, and a food service industry background would be advantageous.

This is a fixed term position - we expect the project to be completed and the role will end by mid-December 2023.  However, the role will expose you to LSG Sky Chefs' wider commercial and financial community including our Regional Office in Hong Kong, and our client airline's contract management team.  There are obvious career opportunities in this exposure.
